Morgan’s High School Senior Session – HS Senior Photography in Clinton Township, Michigan

It was such a fun time shooting Morgan’s senior photos! I loved her fashion style (usually one of my favorite parts of any shoot, hehe) and she totally got into the model posing (seriously a natural in front of the camera). Morgan is so beautiful (reminds me of a cross between Lauren Conrad & Alexa Vega!) and she’s an extremely kind, thoughtful and smart young lady! I had a wonderful time that day, getting to spend time with Morgan, her mom, cousin and aunt, who all came down to support her during the photoshoot!! Morgan, I’m so thankful I had the chance to meet you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Congrats to the  2013 Grads!!!! <3

Rob & Jen – Engagement Session Photography at Addison Oaks Park in Leonard, Michigan

Jen & Rob are such a fun, sweet couple – they are so perfect together and complement each other very well. Jen’s mom is one of my good friends, so it was exciting for me to get to hang out with the daughter and son-in-law that I’ve heard so much about! This awesome couple tied the knot at their destination wedding in Mexico earlier this year. Congrats to these two lovebirds – I wish you both all the best as you continue your lives together! <3

The Kozak Family – Family & Children Photography at Wolcott Mill in Ray Township, Michigan

Last, but certainly not least, here is the remaining session to be blogged from this past summer’s Family Mini Session event! The Kozak family were such a delight to capture, they are all so photogenic and sweet. Lucas and Joshua seemed to have a fun time exploring Wolcott Mill and spending time their parents. Family sessions are one of my favorites to capture because I get a glimpse into the special bond between the parents and children – it is truly a beautiful sight to behold. Thank you, Stephanie & Jason for a lovely afternoon and for allowing me to photograph your incredible family!

NYC in February – Travel Photography in New York, New York

My sister and I went to NYC last February, as a girl’s-weekend-away type of trip! Even though we arrived the day of super-storm Nemo and were crazy enough to venture out during the blizzard, it was such a fun and enjoyable time!! Now that winter has (basically) passed, I look back at the snow with fond memories (it’s so pretty), but thankful to not have to endure it right now. We spent most of our time in the trendy West Village/Greenwich Village area but couldn’t leave without seeing some of our favorite sights (and eating some delicious food constantly here and there). All photos shot with a Contax 645 on Portra 400 & Portra 800 films.

Wafels & Dinges food truck in SoHo!! (Shopping and waffles, a perfect combination)

Oh window displays, how I love you so…

When we went to Purl SoHo, my sister wore a hat and cowl I knit out of the store’s very own yarn with one of their patterns! That store was one of the highlights for me, I was a kid in a candy store!

Farewell New York, until we meet again xoxo……

Maelin Jane – Children & Family Photography at Wolcott Mill in Ray Township, Michigan

Maelin is a familiar face to the CFK blog – I’ve been photographing her since she was a newborn and thoroughly enjoy the time I get to spend with her and her mom. This session was magical – the light, the location and most importantly, capturing the relationship Maelin shares with her mother Hannah. This session occurred while Maelin’s dad Chris was deployed for the Navy. Both Maelin & Hannah wore his military tags at some point during the session and Chris got to see these photos while he was out at sea, which is very special – I’m so glad we had the opportunity to do this amazing photoshoot!! Big thanks to Hannah and Bernie for making the session beautiful and so much fun!
